Most fundamentalist have this annoyance with science. I never really know why. They sometimes charge atheist of worshipping science or discredit it on some ways even writing chapters in books about it (Right Mr. Giesler?)

Is organized religion such as Christianity feel threatened by science? Are they just being defensive?

Atheists have different stand on this issue. Most atheists say that science will someday kill religion. Well…both are inventions of the human species; but religion is more destructive. Science rejects miracle mongering. Other feels that science and religion are separate branches of knowledge. Science tells us what, religion tells us why. Science is neutral on the God issue. But on the theist’s camp, they also justify their faith using science. So why get angry about it? I notice sometimes that a typical Christian fundy will be so mad at science, his reasoning becomes too funny.

For a typical fundy, science represent earthly knowledge, which he considered foolishness to God. But unfortunately, this foolish knowledge is responsible for the books in which this Christian read his unintelligent arguments (yep even Giesler’s books were published because of science.). He goes to his congregation riding a car (mechanics, physics, chemistry, aerodynamics etc.) then he enters the building (architecture, engineering) and listen to his pastor talking in a microphone (invented because of science). There will be a recess with all those Bible reading (which was published using technology) he will eat his food (that was process and studied by nutritionists). The dress that they are wearing in the service, even their shoes were there because of science. Some one in the congregation sneeze and took out a medicine (science did it.). And after the church service, this modern church will use the internet to proclaim to the world God’s gospel and how evil science is. Ah….for all that day, the Fundy is still living with science until the day is finished. Science can even purify religion from errors and superstition, that’s why there are Christian apologists who rely (again) with science to justify their beliefs. But think about it for even one moment, the common cold is an incurable disease, it just come and go. I would like to ask these Bible thumpers if they can give me a verse that tells me how to cure this disease…WHAT!!!???? No verse. An Almighty God doesn’t know how to cure a common cold? Well maybe diseases like colds and flu or dental cavities need a good miracle worker in order to be treated. Indolent minds rely on miracles and prayers.

The Bible says that faith can move mountains yet it didn’t even produce a simple tool that can help us budge a single thing. It tells about salvation but haven’t even give us teaching of pasteurizing a milk or that garlic is a very good antibiotic, simple knowledge that can save hundreds or thousands of lives. Hey! It didn’t even give us practical herbal medicines to use, unlike the ancient Chinese. The Bible speaks of men taken up to heaven, yet never sends a single soul to fly in the sky. It talks about walking in waters and turning water into wine yet never did instruct us how to save food from spoilage, practical solution that can save us from food poisoning. Now, how the hell this foolish wisdom which is science accomplished every practical necessity you Christian are using yet your ineffective God have done nothing so far huh? What did your God really did? You claim that your God created the universe, yet he can’t even write his own Bible. You claim that your God created humans yet He cannot even engage a debate “mano y mano” to moi! He still needs his human lawyers to lobby his Intelligent Creation Theory in Dover. Ano ba talaga?

Now you see, it is very useless for Christians to be aggravated with science. In order for a Christian to counter my post, he will still need a computer and the internet (which was invented because of science) to type his response and send it so I can read it.
